Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting!  Therapy does not need to be scary or mean you are a broken person.  If you are looking for a supportive and approachable therapist to help you, your child, or your adolescent learn how to master complex emotions or develop strong social skills so they can achieve their friend or relationship goals, I can help!   I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation and am happy to speak with you about you or your family member's needs.

I have a passion for working with working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and other complex developmental conditions, and their families.  I operate from a strengths-based perspective where great potential deserves to be unlocked and allowed to flourish.  Having such a child or adolescent who does not communicate, think, or behave in a way you understand, can be very challenging; I am passionate about helping them learn to love themselves, and to helping you, the parents, discover your child and how you can enjoy all they have to offer.

But wait....what if I am not interested in dating or relationship skills for my child or adolescent?  What if I want to get them help for managing complex emotions or to help them with their social skills?  Well the good news, which you can read more about in my "Services Offered" page, is that the same tools and techniques such as those found in play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and sand tray therapy, can easily be adapted to meeting those needs as well!  I work with many children and teens on self-esteem and emotional issues as well as treating anxiety and depression.  Many of the same skills used in working with children and adolescents with developmental diagnoses are also very effective treating ADHD and impulsive behaviors.  I believe that the child or adolescent wants to do the very best they can and my role as the therapist is to help them find the right tools for them to resolve their own issues.

Jonathan is a professional and knowledgeable therapist. Jonathan provided the tools needed for the Self-Advocates to effectively address concerns they were having. Highly recommend.
