"Creating an Alliance with Child Protective Services: Let's Work Together" is the name of an article I wrote and had published in the Autism Society of America's quarterly publication, Autism Advocate, in their Summer 2015 issue.  This article was written for parents of children with autism who are about to be investigated by Child Protective Services (CPS) for allegations of abuse and neglect.  The focus is how the parent can turn a traumatic process of working with CPS into an opportunity to build a strong, working alliance with the investigator to get extra assistance through locally funded programs, while also providing education on how autism impacts childcare.  You can read it here at the Autism Society of America's website: http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/2cf45362#/2cf45362/22

I hope you enjoy it and will continue to explore my website and upcoming posts.  I have been a little forgetful about posting regularly and hope to have some more posts up soon.  Please let me know what subjects you would like to learn more about.  I would love to hear from you!
